  1. Help Johnny Vee out

Great cause and a great idea. I don't have much but I'll kick in what I can and I will mention it on all my videos and livestreams. I've got the ball rolling by mentioning it on my latest upload of the Bale Challenge from the Monkey Show Farming Olympics. I wish you all the best.
  2. video editing software

I've made nearly 900 videos with windows movie maker and a few with Shotcut and Hitfilm express. The vast bulk of my videos are made in WMM as I don't tend to do a lot of overlay or complex transitions. It's simple and pretty much point and shoot. When I do feel a need to get "fancy" I'll use Shotcut which is free and open source and very powerful once you learn it. There are a lot of tutorials and a pretty good community.

  4. so the "monkey show" has been working on a edit of the ingame bio heating plant to accept compost, and silage (mostly to make our MP sessions easier). We have all that working but cannot get it to accept bales. We've poured over the documentation, and the "bale destroyer" trigger but can't seem to get it to accept the bales. I'm pretty surprised none of the "big guys" of modding have come up with something as of yet and am wondering, is this a doable thing? Clearly I am no expert when it comes to scripts and thank you in advance for any tips or pointers
  5. Why play 24 day seasons. Are you crazy?

I've decided not to plow all the fields on NAGCE as plowing isn't done very often in the "midwest" anymore for various reasons. I am currently on day 4 and am still applying NH3 and doing some "seedbed" prep more for realism sake than for any actual in game benefit. I tend to do quite a bit of that sort of thing replicating a real life technique that may not have any tangible effect in the game. I guess that's why I always have something to do. I am also using the midwest geo module.
  6. Why play 24 day seasons. Are you crazy?

I havent run into that as applying NH3 has taken up nearly 3 real life days but yes I "bought" all the fields originally when I first started on the map
  7. Why play 24 day seasons. Are you crazy?

Probably most people are aware of the fact that I like to play Farming Simulator Slow. Really slow in fact. I have played a 1:1 series for nearly 3 years in which one real life day equals 1 game day. I have simulated through various "back stage" methods a 30 day growth cycle using soil mod giving me nearly as possible real life seasons in Farming Simulator 15. I am currently running a 24 day season at 1X on NAGCE valley as a final test and tune to see if it will do what I need it to for my Drumard Farm series in Farming Simulator 17. I generally find that I have plenty to do in each season, but of course my style of play doesn't suit everyone
  8. Bipolar Prophet Gaming On Twitch

Having a blast on this great map by @chaseydog Big equipment on big fields. While this isn't normally my kind of map, I do enjoy this style of farming as it allows me to use equipment I don't get to use very often. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S_jqYp4NHWE&t=613s
  9. Don't Feed The Trolls

If I'm honest, the general chaos and banter that occurs during most of the "Monkey Show" streams tends to drown out the trolls. We are a close knit bunch and have no issue telling these people exactly what we feel. Also as perverse as this may sound there are times when we become the "bigger" trolls to the original trouble maker. I'm not saying two wrongs make a right but it is occasionally fun to poke them with a stick. Having said that, I will not tolerate racism or hatred of any kind on my streams. That stuff gets you banned, yelled at and reported. I show the chat on my streams to provide "continuity" for people that watch back the archive at a later date, so that i don't have to read each comment or question and the person watching it later can keep up with the conversation. Everyone of the Monkey Show is mods or admins on all of our stuff so everyone keeps an eye out on each other.
  10. Copyright and Claims Rant

As I've said before, there is little to nothing I could do if my videos were suddenly posted somewhere without my permission. I don't worry about it and YouTube has a pretty good system of tracking where and when your video(s) have been watched and if they have been embedded anywhere. Your point is valid in the case that I use games that I did not create to create content. It is a sad fact that the internet is what it is and we all have two choices: 1. Deal with it. 2. Stop using it. Oh and @GrizzlyBearSims I'm a "gen X'r" I always thought we were the "Greatest Generation" ;)
  11. "Don't Feed The Trolls". Everyone has heard that phrase before. It is a undeniable if unpleasant fact that there are people who delight in disliking, trolling and occasionally bullying YouTube creators and Live streamers. This is what I like to call "the dark side of YouTube" It is a topic that no one who does "how to" videos about YouTube ever talks about. Having been a content creator for nearly four years, I thought I would give you some of my thoughts on this subject. Dislikes I never understood this particular "ranking" mechanic on YouTube, If you don't like a video don't watch it. It makes not one bit of difference to me if you don't like my videos, I make them firstly for me and for fun. Having said that, I do try to make videos people enjoy, but that is not my sole motivation. Instead of a dislike, I would rather see a comment telling me what it is you disliked. I may listen I may not, but at least you made the effort to tell me what you didn't like. At the end of the day a "like" and a "dislike" are the same thing, a view on the video. Thanks for watching. Trolls It is an unpleasant fact of life on the internet that there are people who derive pleasure from insulting and degrading your work. They have their own motivations, whether it be ignorance, jealousy, insecurity or just the fact that they think they are funny, clever and cool. I don't do well with trolls. I violate the "don't feed the trolls" suggestion constantly and nothing will send me off on a venom filled foul mouthed rant quicker than some idiot who thinks it's cool to tear down my work. I don't mind being called an idiot, in fact most of my channel is built around that very premise, but it is entirely a different matter to be vulgar and insulting. Woe to those who insult my friends as that is something I will NEVER stand for. Go get a life and find something else that makes you feel cool might I suggest jumping off a tall building while saying to your friends, "Hey look at me".... ;) Bullying This is the serious one. Threats, Racism, Sexism, ethnic slurs. Unfortunately , these are all a part of internet life. Thankfully YouTube and Twitch have very good filters that catch most of this stuff and I don't have to deal with it. There should be no tolerance for that sort of ignorance. None. Well BP you make YouTube sound SO Fun.... It isn't all bad. It isn't even half bad. The great and supportive people FAR outweigh the ignorant on YouTube. People who will give you constructive feedback and suggestions on improvements because they believe that you are worth watching and they want to help you get better are far more common than the idiots. YouTube and Twitch are great platforms to share your passion about games and gaming with people who share that passion and a great place to make new friends and build a community. I only mention the bad stuff to make you aware that it is out there and that if you are overly sensitive content creation may not be for you. It's not fun to work hard on something, give it your best and than see it torn down by idiots. This is something that occasionally you will have to deal with. Don't let it get to you, don't let it dissuade you from sharing your passions. The good still outweighs the bad and remember "Don't Feed The Trolls"
  12. Bipolar Prophet Gaming and The Monkey Show are proud to present the First Annual Farming Simulator Olympics. To be held on August 20th 2017 beginning at 2PM EST A fun way to showcase your Farming Simulator skills, have a laugh and maybe win a prize. The Monkey Show has worked very hard to design and test the challenges and we can say that they will be challenging. The Event will be held on a custom map created by The Monkey Show and will feature only 4 mods. As with everything we do, this is meant to be fun and light-hearted. The Challenges 1. Plowing Plowing in a straight line with connected furrows is indeed a skill and with 64 channels of multi-terrain angle installed on the map it's even more of a challenge. 2. Bale Stacking and Reversing Stacking bales is also a skill as is reversing a dolly bale trailer. This one is in my opinion the hardest challenge and should make for the most fun. 3. Forestry Cut down two trees, cut them into logs, load them onto the in-game Stepa log trailer and drive them to an unload point. simple right? Wait and see..... 4. Last Vehicle Standing Race There is a fantastic and slightly insane "race track" around the map. This challenge is really just for fun and it is truly a blast to try and keep your truck on this track.... As I said, this is meant to be fun and light hearted be prepared to laugh and be laughed at all in good -natured fun. I cannot promise that it will always be "G" rated but I can promise no one will go out of their way to be offensive or vulgar. Thanks for taking the time to check out The Monkey Show Presents The Farming Simulator Olympics. A overview video of the event along with sign up information can be found HERE

  14. Thanks for checking out my channel. I love simulation games with a heavy emphasis on Farming Simulator, but I'll play just about anything if it's fun. My channel is a reflection of me and the way I play games so it's not slick or polished, but hopefully always entertaining. I play and record the way live so occasionally a four letter word may creep in but i'm never intentionally filthy or offensive. I'm a lot like squid, you may have to eat it several times before you decide if you like it View full channel
