    Yeah... as recommended in the description and the preview videos done on the map, you should use the BGA extension mod, as this overrides the game's determination not to allow beets in the hopper... lol Also, purchasing the little trailer for the header makes it a snap to get up the hill to the field... I did not want to make things TOO easy on the map... :)

    Welcome to Banco Island (Bank Island in English) located just a few miles south of Ponta Delgada, of the island Sao Miguel in the Azores... An entrepreneurish billionaire, on a whim, has recently transformed one of the rocky "islands" south of Sao Miguel into, of all things, a farm... what was a passing fancy for him is now yours... Are you up to the challenge? This map is based on the general concept and basic dem of the old FS 2011 map, Beaver Island V1 by JD6820Driver, but totally re-imagined and redesigned for FS 2017. It is designed to be different from the typical FS style map... As in the Azores, sheep are very popular, they are present on this island as well... there is no grass trough to feed them with, the grazing mod handles this for you. Also, there is no water trough to fill, as the pasture is on a 45 degree slope... so the water trough mod handles the watering for you as well... if/when the grass dies down, or if/when your sheep population outgrows the capacity of the pasture, you can supplement their grass diet with hay bales. The bale shredder feeder is located at the top of the hill right next to the large windmill, which powers your farm and facilities... There is no area to mow for making hay, the slopes would be too steep for that anyways, so you must have your bales shipped in on the daily ferry... via the buy bales mod. You have 8 hay bales in the shed now, to start you off. There are chickens on the island as well... roaming around the lower areas around your farm house... they are good though, and lay all their eggs inside the coop, to keep them away from roving seabirds... You can grow anything here except for sugarcane, however, in keeping with the realistic economy and market of the nearby islands, the only crop they care about is silage... so, you have been left a nice new forage harvester to make chaff out of the corn... the mower header will also chaff up the grain crops you may want to plant... There is a fermenting facility buried in the side of the steep hill, next to your storage area... it is totally automatic, dump your chaff in, get silage out... it will hold up to 400000 L of silage, so can also act as temporary storage for you till a better price comes... The supply ferry shows up each day (unless it is bad weather, then it is a no show) bringing whatever supplies you have ordered and accepting any silage you have ready to sell... Any eggs you collect from the chickens can be sold down on the dock as well... the ferry commander will take them with him when he leaves each day... Same with any wool pallets you have... they will spawn at the service door of the underground facility, you can carry them down to the warehouse on the dock to sell... There is a fuel sell on the dock... not cheap, but they keep it full for you to purchase as needed... Additionally, there is a small, simple BGA facility under the hill behind the fermenting facility... this supplies electricity to the nearby relay station, which has only a single solar panel for it's power... your BGA will accept some of your available silage, also any rootcrops you decide to raise, and will provide you with digestate that you can use to fertilize your fields with for free... (highly recommend the BGA extension mod, as this will override the game limitations which prevent other crops from being placed in the BGA and will make the BGA a much more realistic and profitable endeavor) You start off with most of the equipment you need to work this challenging island... the tractors, though only 2, are powerful, as needed for the steep slopes here... Also, a small bit of seed and liquid fertilizer is provided to get you going, more can be purchased (as pallets) at the dock... same as any additional equipment you may want/need... This map is fully Seasons ready, a few of the bushes and 1 tree will actually change color with the seasons... but, the weather is warm here year round, so no snow... but, there is a long growing season... Disclaimer: to avoid unforeseen issues and conflicts, please have ONLY this map in the mod folder as having multiple maps in the folder will cause issues as the game loads all the scripts from all the maps, including the active one... This will be the only version of the map, unless someone finds a game breaking bug, shouldn't since it's been fully tested. However, any things you don't like or would like to be improved will have to be for your own private editions. Happy farming!     I love FSX and fly whenever I have time, which is not nearly as much as previously, due to getting mired down in GE (quite addictive) editing and making FS maps... I have made several custom airports and a few islands for my FSX and have several addon scenery packs as well as over 200 cool planes to fly... ranging from the F-22 down to a payware 737...

    Welcome to Amazon Islands Farm, located in the middle of the mighty Amazon River, Brazil, just a few miles inland from the ocean... You are now the proud owner of a small group of islands in the river, left by a group of environmentalist farmers who began an experiment, then abandoned it... the river is wide, the climate hot and rainy, but there is opportunity here to make money and a long growing season... Grab your sandals and get to work at Amazon Islands Farm! You start out with all the 11 fields owned, along with 3 grass meadows, there are no missions as you are the only one here... You have been given a small bit of equipment to get you going (users with the DLCs get a little bonus) scattered about on some of the islands... there are a couple of ferries left by the previous owners which you have unlimited use of to carry your equipment and produce from island to island... you are responsible, however, for your own fuel... (you will need the included version of the ferry, edited for use with this map... any other will NOT work) You have some animals to start with, and some crops in the silos as a little bonus, but get to work caring for them or they will die. The fps clipdistance mod is built in, so you can park all your mods in the buildings without impacting the fps of the game... Bulk priced pigfood and seeds may be purchased at the port island, bulk fertilizer is available at the main island and the arable island, regular priced seeds in small bags are available at the same locations as the bulk fertilizer... All the standard animal types are here on the map... the sheep and cows each are on their own island where they benefit from the grazing mod, which has been built into this map... No additional mods needed in the mod folder for the grazing mod. Pigs are on their own island as well, chickens at the main island... This map also incorporates the enhanced chickens mod, built in, so no additional mods needed for it as well. Produce lots of eggs, or breed chickens for sale at the port island, the choice is yours. The water trough mod is also built in, for ALL animals, including the enhanced chickens. There is a special bale storage area for HD bales on the main island... works the same as the other bale storage areas... You start out with some of each type of animal, but no water in their troughs... it's hot out here, take care of your animals right away or they will die... (The placeable mod FS17_Manureshop.zip Version 1.1.2.0 will be required to be in the mod folder and active at first game start if you wish to have the buyable manure available nearby the two provided greenhouses... failure to have this at game start will prevent it from being added later on, no other version will work) Disclaimer: this is a highly detailed map, using many different scenery objects and several custom foliage layers to achieve visual realism, and as such will require a strong, high spec PC to run... especially if you have many mods on the farm. You have been bestowed with a section of land in an area of the mountainous countryside, totally cut off from the outside world except by helicopter transport... the land is rugged, but beautiful. The farming here is difficult as the growing season is short and the winters are harsh, but there is plenty to do here, all year round. Grab your boots and get to work at Rocky Mountain Farms! You start out with all the 21 fields owned, there are no missions as you are the only one here... there are plenty of trees to cut, which will be needed for the industry in the valley... Just be sure to replace what you cut, otherwise you will be out of trees before you know it... You have been given a small bit of equipment to get you going (users with the Classics DLC and the Kuhn DLC get a little bonus) dropped off at the vehicle shop building's main lot... you get to decide where you want your stuff and then take it there. You have some animals to start with, and some crops in the silos as a little bonus, but get to work caring for them or they will die. There is no regular sellpoint for logs... you bring them to the saw mill, where they are cut up to make boards that you may sell at the warehouse... you will have a good quantity of woodchips left over from the cutting of the boards, use these for fuel to power the secondary portion of the saw mill facility, which makes pallets and barrels to be sold at the warehouse as well. The grinder/shredder also accepts loose straw or old bales as fuel... There is a board storage shed nearby to store the pallets of boards till you are ready to sell them... also 2 bale storage sheds for bales... Additionally, you may take excess logs around to the pallet and cardboard factory to use as source material... there, also, you will get woodchips from the cutting of the logs, use these wood chips the same way, as fuel, or, as source material for the card board production... there are two storage facilities on the map to store woodchips till you need them, extra woodchips may be placed in the compost master as there is no sellpoint for wood chips on the map. There are 3 greenhouses inside a master structure (to protect from the cold winters) from which you will get berries to sell... you will need to input pallets and cardboard pallets (in addition to the normal water and manure) from the pallet cardboard factory for your berries to be placed in... the finished product berry pallets can be stored in the appropriate storage sheds (climate controlled) until you are ready to transport them to the refrigerated warehouse at the sellpoint. There are two additional greenhouses next to the large structure, where you input water, manure and fertilizer and get cucumbers and tomatoes to sell at the second refrigerated warehouse... Also, there is an automated soymilk factory next door that opens the doors automatically bright and early in the morning, ready to work... You input water, soybeans and diesel fuel to make the soymilk, which you can sell at the dairy, at the same place you sell the milk from your cows. (the facility is totally automatic after you input the needed materials, opens the first half of the day to accept inputs and only the outputs are available the second half of the day) You will also get as byproducts of the process, pigFood and digestate... There is a liquidManure/digestate sellpoint at the sell area as well in case you have extra... The fps clipdistance mod is built in, so you can park all your mods in the buildings without impacting the fps of the game... The map incorporates the compost master, which takes almost anything and requires diesel fuel to run... you will need the Kotte Pack Uni fuel trailer to transport fuel from the wholesale fuel sell over to the composter... Compost can be sold for a premium price at the sellpoint, also, you may use it in any of the greenhouses in addition to manure... Wholesale priced fuel may be purchased from the sellpoint area as well... in addition to bulk priced pigfood, seeds and fertilizer. For regular priced seeds and fertilizer, you may enter the storage building to purchase... auto doors open for you as you approach... All the standard animal types are here on the map... the sheep and cows share a common pasture in the northern most valley, where they benefit from the grazing mod, which has been built into this map... No additional mods needed in the mod folder for the grazing mod. This map also incorporates the enhanced chickens mod, built in, so no additional mods needed for it as well. Produce lots of eggs, or breed chickens for sale in the valley, the choice is yours. The water trough mod is also built in, for ALL animals, including the enhanced chickens. The map incorporates the compost master, which takes almost anything and requires diesel fuel to run... you will need the Kotte Pack Uni fuel trailer to transport fuel from the wholesale fuel sell over to the composter... Compost can be sold for a premium price at the sellpoint, also, you may use it in any of the greenhouses in addition to manure... Wholesale priced fuel may be purchased from the sellpoint area as well... in addition to bulk priced pigfood, seeds and fertilizer. For regular priced seeds and fertilizer, you may enter the storage building to purchase... auto doors open for you as you approach... All the standard animal types are here on the map... the sheep and cows share a common pasture in the northern most valley, where they benefit from the grazing mod, which has been built into this map... No additional mods needed in the mod folder for the grazing mod. This map also incorporates the enhanced chickens mod, built in, so no additional mods needed for it as well. Produce lots of eggs, or breed chickens for sale in the valley, the choice is yours. The water trough mod is also built in, for ALL animals, including the enhanced chickens. There is a special bale storage area for HD bales in the chicken enclosure... works the same as the other bale storage areas and sheds... You start out with some of each type of animal and a limited bit of water in each trough... take care of your animals right away or they will die... Also, there are some crops left over in the storage silos, as well as some bales, which you can use to get you going... You do not have a lot of equipment, so use it wisely... This map is fully Seasons ready, with a snowmask and textures which change according to the seasons... Disclaimer: this is a highly detailed map, using many different scenery objects and several custom foliage layers to achieve visual realism, and as such will require a strong, high spec PC to run... especially if you have many mods on the farm. The only solution to this issue is to not use any mods and/or turn the settings down. Additionally, to avoid unforeseen issues and conflicts, please have ONLY this map in the mod folder as having multiple maps in the folder will cause issues as the game loads all the scripts from all the maps, including the active one... This will be the only version of the map, unless someone finds a game breaking bug, shouldn't since it's been fully tested. However, any things you don't like or would like to be improved will have to be for your own private editions. Happy farming!     State Of The Mod

    If the terrain under a layer of painted terrain detail (for a field) is altered in any way, like raised a tad, lowered a tad, affected by "smoothing" nearby terrain, the terrain detail layer for the field will no longer be "in contact" with the underlying terrain as it does not auto follow changes made to the terrain... this could maybe cause an issue with AI workers as they seem to follow the terrain and if moving along through a field and the painted terrain detail layer is a bit higher than the underlying terrain, it could confuse them. What I have had to do in maps where I made terrain changes which were "under" a field's terrain detail, was to erase the terrain detail and repaint it, causing the terrain detail layer to conform to the adjusted terrain...
